Why Can't I Reuse a One-Time Number?
Our phone numbers are primarily intended for a single SMS verification, this is actually why they are called "one-time numbers". While reuse is sometimes possible, we cannot guarantee it.
Here's how it actually works:
When we add a number to the platform, we rent it from our provider for a minimum of 24 hours. If you manage to get the number right after it appears on the platform, you can usually receive multiple SMS OTP codes during the time it remains active on our platform.
However, if you receive the number closer to its expiration time, you will have much less time left. Once the rental period ends, the number is automatically replaced, and we lose access to it.
If you see the error "This MDN cannot be requested anymore", it means the number has already been replaced by our provider and is no longer available in our pool. If you need long-term access or repeated online SMS usage, try to reuse the number as early as possible while it is still active on the platform.
In rare cases it might be possible to recover a number from the provider and add it back manually for another 24 hours, but this is generally an expensive process and nothing is guaranteed. Expect to pay at least $10 if a number is restored. Please submit a ticket if you agree with these terms.
